Here’s the reference drawing I did when I was ironing out the design for Nexus P-TUNIA, who just appeared in my comic this past week.
Basically he is an overzealous skeleton minion combined with a recently-activated Nightmare Seedling. He’s the precursor to some Very Bad Things.
I wanted to have him retain a weird gangly figure as a tree monster, hence the waist and huge arms. And given his ridiculous name, I knew I had to add some kind of floral element to him, hence the head petals. They’re my favorite detail. :)
